As an undergraduate in college, I worked as a Research Assistant for the Jane Addams Papers Project, a scholarly editing project publishing the correspondence and writings of Jane Addams. As part of the project, I wrote a series of blog posts dedicated to the most interesting people Jane Addams corresponded with. Some figures covered included actress Mary Miles Minter, who was accused of murdering her lover in 1922, and Lewis E. Larson, a family man who one day disappeared in order to live a double-life.
